Learning Centre

Initially the concept was to build a crèche through funds donated from overseas in conjunction with the community of Bennde-Mutale. What happened was that a local church group were in need of a church, it was suggested that they build the church and that Friends of Mutale could use it as a crèche. This progressed in time into a LEARNING CENTRE and CHURCH, (UNITED AFRICAN APOLOSTIC CHURCH) both groups having rights to use the building and its facilities for the benefit of the community at large.

The learning centre now houses a CRÈCHE, AFTER-SCHOOLS CLUBS, LIBRARY, and will house DSTV and COMPUTERS. As time goes on and funding is made available we want to house ADULT BASIC EDUCATION TRAINING, (to give adults the much needed matriculation pass so they can apply and hopefully get decent jobs).
